The girl and classroom

As we took the visitors to a primary school in Bujumbura, people living around the school came to see “muzungu” (White people). Among them was the girl carrying her little brother, looking into the classroom where the school children of her age were sitting. I wondered what was in her thought.

ブジュンブラ市内の小学校に訪問者を案内したとき。集まってきた学校周辺の住民の中には、小さな弟をおんぶする女の子がいた。教室の中を覗き込み、自分と同い年くらいの小学生を見つめ、何を思っていたのだろう。

Cuando fuimos a visitar a una escuela primaria en Bujumbura con las visitas, la gente que viven cerca de la escuela vinieron para ver “muzungu” (los blancos). Entre ellos fue una muchachita con su hermanito, mirando dentro de la clase, donde estudiaban los estudiantes de la edad de ella misma. Pregunté como sentía y que pensaba ella.
